I just wanted to say that I am very excited to be a soon to be dell m1530 xps owner. I think that this computer is going to be great... but onto the question.

I ordered 2 dell laptops (one m1330 and the other m1530) june 21st. They gave me the ship dates and I was discouraged, but I was just fine with it. The m1330's on 7/9 and the other on 7/14. I was confused about why it would take so long! I found this site and found out that they have been battery shortages. Well... yesterday (since im posting at 12:45a.m.) they delayed my m1330 to 7/11... which is not too bad. But I want to know if any of you are upset with Dell as far as the dishonesty goes? And I was wondering what I could do to get something from dell? This is not right for them to do this... any suggestions? :(

It's not just DELL, many other OEMs are facing the same issue. I heard it is related to some fire event in a major supplier factory in Korea. DELL probably delayed the dates because the new stocks are delayed. It would be nice if you could get it that quickly. Other OEM delayed it even longer.

Call a few times a day to complain. If you don't already have next day shipping, call and demand it. Also, ask what kind of compensation you will be recieving for your delay. I got a $50 Dell credit.

Dishonesty? Yeah...they are a bunch of liars. My after purchase experiance has been awesome, but when I was waiting for my 1530 to ship, I was lied to non-stop. I was told my notebook shipped weeks before it did, and other stuff.

Stick it out, because it will be worth it. Good luck.
