I have just ordered 720QM SXPS 1645 and waiting for it to get out of the 'In Production' time...

So, I was just curious about its performance...

Can anyone who has a Studio XPS 1645 (preferably i7) post their start-up / shutdown time?

A video with it would be very appreciated.

I am just curious as to how fast does it start up and become usable...

Thanks guys. This is my first post on this forum! Hope to be a proud owner of XPS 16 very soon...

What kind of hard drive did you get...an SSD or HDD? I think that is probably the biggest factor that affects the startup and shutdown times (there's really not much processing involved when starting up and shutting down, as most of it is just reading from the hard drive and putting it in memory). There is a BIG difference between the times on a SSD vs. HDD. Also, I think you could find the times here in the forums. I know I've seen a lot of people post theirs.

I get web connection right about 55 seconds... Clean install of Windows Ultimate with many services off on start-up.

    EDIT: W/500GB 7200rpm drive
