Ok, I just tracked my dell order with walsh western and it says :

    04/08/08 14:05 PLAN COMMITTED NOTE.
    02/08/08 10:45 RAHEEN DEPARTED EMF.

So it left raheen on saturday but hasn't done anything till today is that normal cause it was sat/sun.

But now whats this - PLAN COMMITTED NOTE. mean ?? I never had that before on my last dell order when i tracked it.

    Also says:

    Status - NOTE.
    Delivered On - n/a
    Received By - PLAN COMMITTED

Anyone had this plan committed stage? is it normal? and does anyone know what it means ??

    cheers

Ok fair enough, it must be normal then, still doesnt say anywhere what it means exactly tho.

    thanks

And how come i've got a big gap from the 02/08/08 to the 04/08/08 is that because of the weekend ?

nope, I guess no one really knows either!! Probably just means "they conducted a vote and it was good enough for them to be committed to the plan of getting your laptop to you safely and on time"??? ;) ;) :D :)

Jus kiddin' mate.. :) But don't be worried.. looks like there were others with similar stuff and they reported having received it fine in the other posts. :) So hope you get your machine soon and start enjoying it :)

How can you possibly track a shipment when they use internal codes and abbreviations that we're not privy to?

What a complete waste of time.

Nothing happens over the weekend, not a business day, hence the apparent but normal delay. Plan Committed means they've received and added the Delivery plan details including when exactly it should be delivered, from Dell. I thought that was fairly obvious myself.
