just got my new dell 2 weeks ago. Today opened it up and no display. Truned it off and back on still no display. i can log in via facial login on the cam just fine. So i know its getting into Windows 7.

Anyone seen this? Before I call Dell in the morning?

Probably "just" a problem with the display. If it was a CCFL display, I'd say it was a problem with the backlight or inverter, but I'm sure they don't ship SXL16s or SXL1645s with CCFL displays.

You can try reseating the display connector, but I doubt that's the problem:

(Pretty much the same for 1640 and 1645)
