    Hi all

Was surfing the Dell site today and noticed that the Studio XPS 13 is no longer on sale.

Will there be a replacement coming out soon or a refresh?

    Cheers

I don't really think so. Dell is changing their gaming machines to Alienware. It would be a shame though, as the XPS 13 is a great little system without being too small to work on.

XPS 13 was never really a gaming laptop just a high performance 13".

A couple of months ago a Dell rep indicated that the XPS 13 needed a complete redesign to accomodate the ICore series of CPUs. The US site has been without a 13 XPS for quite some time. The redesign was not likely to be back on the market for 6 months. If he was right, that would make the new 13 release in the fall.

It's a shame. I liked the XPS 13. It would be nice to see one with an I5-540M or I7-620M and an ATI HD 5650 or better GPU with a high resolution 1600 x 900 display.

I don't think the SXPS 13 design can handle the heat. They need to improve the venting. Other than that I love my mine :)
