I'm thinking of picking 1 of these babies up. Specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo P8600
    4 GB DDR3 RAM
    320 GB 7,200 RPM HDD
    ATI 4670
    1920x1080
    Intel WifiLink 5300
    Blu-Ray

For about $1800 after taxes ($1600 before). I just have a few questions:
    1) I would eventually like to upgrade to a T9800, however Dell charges $600 for it while I can get it off eBay for $400. Is it easy for an end-user to install the processor?
    2) I'm looking for a medium gaming/homework laptop to replace my current one (Acer Aspire 6920G) and I was just wanting to make sure that this Dell's ATI 4670 will last me at least until CoD6 (Nov. 10)?
    3) Anyone know of university student discounts or other discounts? They would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, if owners can leave their reviews, ratings, etc. for me, that would be awesome!

    1. not terribly difficult, although you should probably just stick with the t9550... there really isn't that big of a performance increase between the two. (unless you are doing some heavy video encoding or something else that is very CPU intensive you won't even notice it)

    2. The XPS 16 doesn't come with an ATI 4670... it comes with an ATI 3670. no clue how it will run COD6.

So I assume you could sell your old CPU for $200, costing you $200 for the upgrade? That doesn't sound too bad, maybe I should do that.

Where do you see this configuration with the 4670, on Dell Canada? The US site is still showing the 3670 with the 4670 not being an option.

It's still the HD3670 on the Canadian site, I just checked >.>

Unless there's some hidden config I haven't seen.

Sorry ya it's 3670. And I think I'll stick with the P8600 for a while until I save up for the T9800.
