Is there any indication that the XPS S16 will ever have the option for a Solid State Drive because if that happened I think you could sign me up for it?

Just buy one and put it inside yourself. My 12 year old sister watched me change out my hard drives and she went ahead and did it on her laptop. Its as easy as taking off the back panel.
Any 2.5 inch SATA SSD will work... take your pick mate. -

Newegg.com is a highly recommended site.
These are the Dell instructions to replacing the hard drive. -
The XPS S16 system I received in August has an 256gb Samsung SSD. I dont know why it is no longer an option. -
There's a 256GB SSD option for the Studio XPS 16 I'm looking at (i7). I'm considering that or an aftermarket SSD. How do I know which aftermarket drives will fit in a laptop? http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=636&name=Solid-State-Disks
Thanks,

As long as its 2.5", it will fit the SXPS 16.
