    IMO, there was something about the white I loved when I ordered. I was leaning more towards it and also couldn't decide though. If you want the black then by all means go for the black.

    I wanted to have a poll but I forgot to make one :(

    We'll see about that since I still haven't chosen betwee them :)

    The White cause it has a different color from the in/out and the White seems to fit the White light of the keyboard and it would be with a new and different color

    The Black cause it would be the same color for the in/out and it would be nice to have it in the Black color especially that the silver lid fits the Black more than the White for me

    I got my xps16 (black) in July, but if I were to get it now, I'd choose white (I actually thought it'd be so cool if Dell ever made a white XPS16, too!)

    My argument in relation to the macbook is that it would intimidate the macbook by being its superior; Apple has totally taken over glossy-white, so it's about time a PC laptop like the SXPS "take over"

    plus, I think white would be refreshing to look at, as many PC laptops do not come with white, let alone a leather band.

    so ya!

    (btw, does anyone know if the white leather gets dirty easily? haha)

    Unless you want to use your laptop with rubber gloves and/or wash your hands every 5 minutes, go with the black. :)

    The white looks sharp, but way too much trouble keeping it white.

    My thoughts exactly. That's why I chose neither. Because I have had both white and black laptops both glossy and they all get dirty finger prints.

    So, I'm going with red, let see if it makes any difference :S

    I think the intuitive way to choose is...what color would you be happy looking at everyday?

    Even though I got the black in July on the basis that it felt "classy," I think I would also have liked the Merlot Red b/c it would be something nice and different to look at everyday instead of plain black.

    White would also make my day. =)

    It's typically best to order through a Dell rep. Give them a call when you're ready to order. Though generally pretty stiff, sometimes they can give you a few extra freebies. Maybe a free upgrade to black or white leather, free X-Fi audio... things like that. Better than nothing.
