    Hi there,

I hope this is the correct forum. I apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong spot or if this issue has already been addressed. However, I have searched the forum and other spots on the internet and have had no luck with this issue.

I recently upgraded my Studio XPS 1640 to Windows 7. Everything seems to be working fine, except for my webcam. If I look at the device manager, it lists 4 highlighted areas as problematic under 'other devices":

    1) Base system device
    2) Base system device
    3) Base system device
    4) Unknown device

This laptop came preloaded with some webcam software that I no longer have. I don't really need the software per se - just access to my webcam.

Any ideas on how to get these device problems working?

    Thanks in advance,
    sweabs

Windows update and the last unknown device should be ricoh card reader or something you can find it at dell.com under the driver support page.
