    Hi everyone

I am looking to buy a Dell laptop capable of running Linux. The Precision is very costly, so I am now looking at the following models:

    1. Studio 15 ( http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=in&cs=indhs1&kc=&l=en&oc=S540219IN8&s=dhs)
    2. Studio 17 ( http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=in&cs=indhs1&kc=&l=en&oc=S540210IN8&s=dhs)
    3. Studio 16 XPS ( http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=in&l=en&s=dhs&cs=indhs1&kc=&oc=S540212IN8)
    4. Latitude E6500 ( http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/compare.aspx/latitude_e?c=in&l=en&s=lca)

(Indian links quoted...hope thats not a problem.)

I want to know if anyone here has had success running Linux on the Dell Studio and Studio XPS. I need an nVidia card, so if Dell is willing to replace it with the default config, I'll buy one of these straight away.

If you run or have used Linux successfully (or unsuccessfully), please reply to this thread.

    thanks
    vivek
