RGBLED = self-explanatory

I just got off the phone with Dell (they must be sick of my voice by now) and the guy said that it is actually the RGBLED display, not the WLED one. Not sure why it's showing up as that on the order status site, but the rep said that their system is showing the RGB screen. So if you ordered the RGB one but it's not showing up as that, they still have the RGB as part of your order.

The return policy is 21 days, right? Crapola....tried sweet-talking a representative?
I mean, I'm sure you could sell it to get a good portion of the money back.
@scorpeeon
I found a site that showed PLENTY of performance degradation from doing a Vista-Win7 upgrade versus a clean Win7 install. I guess I'll have to figure out how to get DataSafe Local somehow with the clean install. Thanks for all the help, mate!

Is there any review out yet? I am waiting (like many I am sure) to find out if there are any heat issues and if the extra cores can be shut off to prolong battery life when on road.

Does this model come standard with Backlit KB?

PLUS, Samsung will be releasing a new FW for Trim to work (supposedly as soon as Win7 is released).
And LASTLY, whatever advantage you think Intel or Indilinx has over Samsung will soon be foreshadowed by some greater technology that seems to come out every other week. You plan on keeping it 3 years? By then, your Intel or Indilinx-based SSD will be trash compared to what's out then.
I have the Samsung 256GB SSD from Dell (got it for less than $300 upgrade) and am completely happy with it. I'll be even happier when Samsung releases newer FW with the Win7 TRIM support! -
Nah I think I made the right choice. Intel is the drive I want to go with. It's good that you're happy with your choice though.
-
As long as you're happy with your purchase then it's all good.

Actually I'm thinking 160GB is too much capacity for me. I have an 80GB hard drive in my laptop now and I have half of it empty. I'll probably end up going with a 120GB OCZ drive (apparently they're good with firmware updates?). And I'm going to replace the optical drive with the 500GB drive my laptop comes with just for backups and things like that.
-
Why not the 80GB Intel then?
-
Umm...I don't know haha. I guess I'd rather have the extra space. But I've been fine with 80GB for the past 3+ years, and if I put the 500GB drive in my computer also, then I guess I don't need 120GB. I'm gonna have to think about it some more.
