Hi, My XPS 12 9Q33 has been having an annoying issue lately. When I move the lid, or sometimes when i move the laptop, the screen flickers black and sometimes stays black until I move the lid again. I took the back LCD panel out and tried to reseat the flex cable but still having the issue. I'm not sure if I should order a new cable or try to reseat the motherboard end of the cable but I think it might have to do with the hinges that allow it to rotate into tablet mode. They seem to be squashed in the small hole on the sides of the frame and I believe the cable might be physically damaged, sort of like a headphone connector that you have to move to hear the music again.

How have the hinges been holding up for you guys? Especially for those that have a first gen XPS 12.

Is the 9Q33 the latest generation? I don't see the XPS 12 listed on Dell's site anymore. Is it discontinued? Such a shame if it is...it's a great machine. My only real complaint is the fan gets loud. I wish we could do something about that
