    Hey all,
    Recently I bought a Dell xps 13 1340 with p8600 and a 9500GE.
I viewed all the discussions about it and I know it has a heating problem, even thou I decided to buy it - once I saw it I just couldnt look at anything else...

Anyway Im running it with the A07 bios and all new drivers from dell's website.
When Im running it on heavy load like a game the 9400 GPU reaches to 86c.
The 9200 is around 75c. CPU is 74c max.

On idle mode CPU is 43c and 9400 is 52c (9200 disconnected), are those temp normal ? If so Im very much interested in buying a cooling pad. Can anyone recommend on such one ?

Thank you guys for the help and keep up the good work...

I can't really reccomend a cooling pad because I don't use one, but yes, those temps are normal.

My idle temps are slightly lower, and my load temps are slightly higher.

do you know any mod I can do to reduce those temps? I've heard about ppl taking out the heat pads and put a copper piece with a decent thermal compound...

I did the copper mod on the 1530 a while back, I think the effect was more psychological and/or I really took the time to apply the thermal compound perfectly.
