Have a Dell XPS 2015 qHD touch model which I bought from Dell online. I have an issue where I try to load a youtube video sometimes and it basically just plays at practically 1 frame per second. (Not exactly, but feels that slow at least). On chrome, the video doesn't play period. On Internet explorer, it plays, but as I said, at 1fps. I can go to some other sites and play videos, although there is no sound when I do so. More strange though is the fact that my xbox music app plays music fine with sound (headphones/speakers) but anything else doesn't seem to work for sound. The only way to fix this is to restart my computer. I have to do this multiple times a week, and I cannot understand what the reason is? I didn't have this issue when I first got the laptop. Also, it isn't related to my internet, since I tethered to my phones 4G internet and had the same problem.

    Cheers

same here. videos are playing at about 3 fps though. it will eventually go back to normal at about 1 minute in the video. same thing in the hyper for youtube metro app with additional sound glitches.
this is with the latest official intel graphic drivers. im blaming the sound drivers.

Interesting. I've got a Dell XPS 13 (qHD, touch, 2015) running the 10.18.14.4156 drivers direct from Intel's website.

1080P videos on Youtube in Chrome play fine, even 1080P/60FPS videos.
4K videos on Youtube in Chrome play a bit slowly (varying between full and half speed) but I'd just put this down to the 5500 graphics being a bit on the weak side (I'm used to my Alienware's powerful graphics capabilities).

its your processor, check to make sure its not at 15W @ 0.6 GHz or try changing from power saver mode to high performance mode just to check if itss cause your processor setting is to low

I had upgraded my intel graphics drivers to 10.18.10.4013, which were the latest that I found for my models page on dells website (but now it seems that according to sjgore 10.18.14.4156 drivers are available on intels website?) I just had the issue again a moment ago and took a screenshot of my process manager...no sure if that helps. And I am indeed running in high performance mode plugged in (although the issue can also happen when i'm not plugged in). When I had the issue a moment ago, I closed all my Windows and pretty much anything I could possibly close on my computer, and then re-opened a google chrome window and youtube videos started playing normally again. Running BIOS version A02. Image below is of my cpu while I had the issue..
