Just called Dell about the XPS 13 2015. They were just rude saying not to call them about these matters and just refereed to the website for updates.
Anyone know when we can expect it to show up in the EU?

major dissapointment.... the Dell NL website only shows the touch models :-(
I wanted the i5 matte display so this is a deal breaker. Hope in the next weeks they will have more choice

I asked this morning via dell chat:
    Capture.JPG

    Essentially don't hold your breath.
I suspect they won't release the non-touch cheaper models any time soon as the value for money is pretty good on the lower models, but they know Europe tend to pay over the odds without questioning it. Maybe in a few months time, however, remember they have never released the inspiron 11 3000 in the UK which was great value, but again too good value for europe! I will now look to get the lowest config shipped from the US and just buy a replacement power cable from the UK site.

According to Dell UK Online Chat today, the 1080p non-touch models will come to Dell UK in "2 months". Pricing is not yet confirmed.

    Ugh.

Ugh, I'm so disappointed by the lack of screen choice after being excited to see the new XPS 13 finally available to order on the UK site. I'm stuck what to do as my current Ultrabook has died and I'm using an old Vaio, part of me thinks just give the higher resolution XPS 13 a go since it sounds like it will be a while before we get the 1080p one but at the same time it's annoying to pay more for a screen which decreases battery life and is more of a pain in Windows for scaling.

Dell is such a pathetic company.
They release great products and make customers jump through hoops to get info or products.
Here in Austria I tried to contact them:
-Via the contact sales link on the homepage- didn't work, dead link.
-Via telephone. First try I end up at a machine, second try I chose the order extension, I get an automated message to order online and the they cut the line.
-Facebook: Only Dell US present, they answer but have no clue
-Twitter: Dell Germany tells me "that is what was decided, maybe you want to consider another 13" model" (heavier)
-Chat: on our website there's no chat option and if there were, I guess I'd end up in India too and they tell me to check the regional site.

Is there any intelligent manager at that company who has a clue how customers feel?
I can't believe I'm longing for the days when someone in a Slovak call-center picked up the freakin phone and answered in broken German, but at least you could reach someone vaguely competent.

Dell don't seem to want me to buy this laptop - today there's just two on the site, the 5600u with 256GB and the 5500u with 512GB with the cheaper 5500u with 256GB having disappeared.

    Edit: No, it's back

I live in Greece and want to buy the new XPS. In DELL.gr there is the presentation of the laptop but no option for purchase yet. Should i have to wait for a while?

Also, is it possible that i could order it from DELL.uk?

Did anyone else see, on the Dutch site the 15" model is cheaper than the similar one on US site? (1600EUR vs 2300USD) Normally it's the other way around?

There is no matte/non-touch version available on the dell UK web page, despite it saying "it also has the world’s first virtually borderless infinity display with OPTIONAL touch" on the same page!

Anyway I might have to purchase it from the US instead. Does anyone know of a good supplier where I could buy it from (8GB non-touch version)?

Ok, so here is what I found about new Dell XPS non-touch version

    1) New Dell XPS 13 hasn´t been yet oficially introduced in Czech Republic (you cannot find it on official sites) and when I tried to call Customer care/support and ask for avaliability, no one was picking up the phone :/ ..

    2) The biggest czech e-shop with electronics already offers both version .. you can find it here
    a) non-touch HD, i5, 4gb, 128gbhttp:// www.alza.cz/dell-xps-13-touch-d2355850.htm
    b) touch QHD, i7, 8gb, 256gb - http://www.alza.cz/dell-xps-13-touch-d2307732.htm
    c) touch QHD, i5, 8gb, 256gb - http://www.alza.cz/dell-xps-13-touch-d2307731.htm

Anyway what I am missing is non touch HD, i5 8gb, 256gb - my potential buy :/

Also the prices in Europe seem to me pretty high .. compare the a) version to e.g. non touch ASUS UX305 the price for dell is more than 30% higher :///

Prices in US are 699 for ASUS and 799 for DELL (740 for dell because there´s a special offer with coupon codes) .. this make great value from DELL ..

... so what´s the conclusion ??? screw you EUROPE branch of DELL !!!

It may depend on the currency, I think the dollar has strengthened against pound recently and the Euro has weakened due to the issues in Greece - the Dell UK prices are pretty good, the US i7/8GB/256GB/QHD+ is £1038 after conversion and the Dell UK price is £1100. Bearing in mind sales tax here is 20% that's unusually good, I can't really find any Broadwell U laptops for sale at the moment to compare but Haswell U laptops with similar spec were usually around the £1200 mark.

However I still agree with screw Dell Europe - it's really annoying having so few options and almost all of them high end configs. I sent the XPS 13 back for a few issues one of which was the horrible QHD+ scaling but also because I just don't think I'd get the use out of it I'd need to for the money and would have been just as happy with an i5/128GB/4GB machine if I could get it a good chunk cheaper.

Agreed, I think the price of the UK laptops is actually pretty good for what you are getting. Personally I didn't need the high specs for my workload so I had the MS i5/ 128GB/ 4GB 1080p shipped over to the UK for under £700 all in with tax and delivery included. You take a risk with warranty problems though, (I would likely have to ship it back via the US if I had problems in the first year), so this option isn't for everyone.

Trick is to get the same configuration from an EU country (with a sane keyboard). Then you have the warranty.

Personally wouldn't trust a Dell product without one.

True but I couldn't find the FHD option in the EU at a sensible price. My old dell vostro V13 is still functioning despite being through the wars so touch wood this one is the same (so far so good). I have a policy of not paying more than £600 - 700 for laptops as I imo the value drops off quickly after this, unless it is for a specialist function. Or maybe I am just cheap!

    Hi JB14,

I am looking to do this, too, as Dell just told me it would take another 3 months to get the non-touch versions in the UK.

Can you tell me where you ordered from and how you got it shipped here for that price?

    Thank you!

As you can see non-touch HD version of new Dell XPS 13 will be avaliable on 1st April (4GB RAM, 128 GB SSD or 8GB RAM, 256 SSD) .. FINALLY !!! :)
