    I was was waiting for this laptop to release with Haswell for a few months but once I read that even the i7 in there is only 2 core, I changed my mind and went with the new XPS 15.

    I'm not sure why you would have expected it to be a quad-core. All the past XPS 13 models have used dual-core ULV processors. The only Haswell quad-core laptop processors are the 47xx, 48xx and 49xx, which start at 37W with the majority being 47W. It would be difficult to cool a 25W processor in a build this small let alone a 47W processor.
