    Sup Guys,
so far so good. I honestly love my new Dell XPS 13 (Specs: i7 5500u 8GB Ram 256GB SSD). The Fan usually never came up in my daily uses. I have to say I came from a Surface Pro 2, and wow the fan there was almost running 24/7.

Now here comes my "problem" I dont even know if that is normal or not..
I usually hear weird noises coming out of... my speakers? i dont know if its really coming from the speakers, but whenever i move my external USB mouse it can hear those weird noises when the room is quiet. But when i decide to use the Touchpad and move the cursor there... i hear nothing!
I tried it with a different mouse - same result.
I dont know wether its the processor causing that noises or the speakers which seems to have a problem with my usb mice?

Anyone got the same problem and can give me some infos what this is?
Usually its ok for me... im just scared that this might cause further problems if this keep going on.

Is the 45W AC adapter plugged in ?

If yes then try unplugging it and move your mouse.

Some adapter have a small whine when the user uses his mouse, that's nothing.

Well the noises were still there even without the AC plugged in! I even give Dell a call and they told me they have "never" heard of that Problem.
So i just returned it at the store were i bought it... now i might just wait and get the new XPS with skylake

It's usually the DC-DC converters on the motherboard, they have inductors that vibrate. It's a common issue with electronics especially graphics cards (look up "coil whine"). Different types of load cause different kinds of noises. I've had four 9343's and they all made weird noises at times, in fact every laptop I've had has done it to some extent, even my cellphone does it.
