Dell XPS 13 9360 4-cell "smart" lithium ion (60 WHr) Battery questions.

I have some 4-cell "smart" lithium ion (60 WHr) Battery questions.
I recently got in "mint" condition Dell XPS 13 9360 (see specs in signature) and decided to get a new battery for it as the one in it was about four years old. It was still giving me between 5-6 hours of run time, which isn't bad, but when new was suppose to give between 8-11 hours with the high resolution screen I have. I have yet to put the new battery in until my questions are answered.

1. Is there a "break-in" procedure I should do when I first fire it up? Like discharging the battery down to zero or?

2. I bought this one for both, on the run battery use and AC desktop use. Is it bad to leave the laptop plugged in all day while working on it and/or when the laptop is turned off? Should I unplug it when I'm not using the laptop?

3. Dell's Command app and Power Manager app have similar settings for its laptops. In the latter option — available in PCs like the XPS 13 — you can choose "Primarily AC Use" which automatically lowers the charging threshold. I don't see any option like that with my Dell XPS 13 9360? Is there an App I can download?

No break in required, just use it.

You should be able to get the dell power manager software from the windows store.

Don't bother to unplug it if you're using the primary AC profile.

 

I actually just found in BIOS a lot of advance features... I just got to figure out the right one.
I'm thinking using the " Primary AC Use" in BIOS.
You will see all the options on the left sidebar for " Power Management"

But first I want to recalibrate the original battery to see how accurate that is, before installing the new battery. Kind of a test run

I didn't see those features or how to set them up in my XPS 13 Setup and Specifications PDF?

Battery seems to be in good shape and it gets 5+ hour run time

However once I figure out everything, I'm going to install my new OEM battery. That should get me to 8-10 hours run time.

 

You should also be able to check battery wear reading with HWmonitor. It will tell you what percentage of original capacity is available.
