Hi when I press the bottom right under my screen hard my screen just flickers - it turns off and then turns on when I stop exerting the pressure. Could anyone please try to recreate this issue?

    Here is a video:

Let me know if you have this or a similar thing happen if you apply pressure somewhere under the screen.

    Hey
I noticed there are 10+ views. Again, I'm a little tired of replacing this laptop (Have done two replacements due to other issues) so I don't think I will pursue another. My 30 days for returns have run out anyway so I'd have to wait 3 weeks for Dell's depot service which is simply not possible since I need the laptop every day and can only part with it for a few days at most.
So, again I'd appreciate if anyone could do this quick check to see if they have this defect too. It would help me out in knowing what the chance of having more problems on exchanging it might be. I'd be indebted to you.

There must be something there that should not be pressed. Good to know.

So I take it you have the same laptop but are unwilling to test it. Your choice though I must stress that it doesn't nearly need enough pressure which would cause physical damage.

I would check but I already returned mine under 30 days. Like you, I had multiple units.

I tried pressing the panel in -where I think is- the same place you did, above the Insert key, and didn't have the same issue you did.

I have the i5/QHD configuration Microsoft Signature Edition.

LCD cable or power cable to the backlight is loose, simple assembly flaw and not too surprising as the margins for a proper connection are quite small. To fix; remove front bezel, re-insert cable (for the bl-cable). If it's the lcd cable then you'll have to lift out the panel from the display lid (it's affixed to the lid with screws or tape). The cable connector is on the backside, probably bottom-left from looking at some examples of this model, which is bottom-right when viewed from the front.

It's certainly possible to do this yourself, though not sure if you want to ... the big upside is that it's an hours work, at most, even without experience.
