    Hi,
I'm planning to get the Dell XPS 13 with i7 and 8 GB of RAM from Tokyo. Could anyone please let me know which one of these processors I should go for? I would probably be using the laptop to run a Virtual machine - so please let me know your thoughts..

    Thanks!

If you need the gpu at all then the 6560 is better. If you don't then the performance is about the same but more heat/power consumption

Thanks for responding! More power consumption for the 6560U?

Yeah, it's got slightly worse battery life and more heat issues

NotebookCheck confirms the higher power draw and lower battery life but surprisingly the 6560U runs significantly cooler (at least in the XPS 13).

There are sooo many mistakes... first of all measurements, the IRIS version is neither smaller nor bigger than the hd modell, then pricing (i´m from germany) they claim the 16gb version costs 1300 Euro, meanwhile dell says 1900 Euro...

But yes, the temperatures looks kinda strange.

Ja. They messed up the link to pricing. Problem is I haven't seen an in-depth test of the 6500U and 6560U of the XPS 13 on the same site to be comparable.
