    hello every body
    im new here , this is my first post

    i have problem in my laptob if any body can help me

    I have XPS 1330 when i swtsh on it give me Black screen with vertical line
    i sent it to support center thay told me thay cannt fix it coz the problem from the motherbourd and thay donnt have this model
    i think now i have to bey it from internet and i have to fix it at home

    but im not sure if the problem from the motherbourd or no coz i didnot trust the support center in my country

    can u help me to fix my notebook pls

    do u have warranty and the nVidia 8400 GPU?

    Yep, looks like a graphic card problem. The M1330 are notorious for faulty cards. Don't buy a new motherboard, they are very expensive. Are you still under warranty?

    its graphic problem and the nVidia 8400 GPU
    its not under warranty
    so what can i do waaaaaaaaaa
    can i change the nviaia without change the motherbourd

    unless you know how to solder minute parts, and have a usable GPU part from some other m1330 motherboard.....

    nope.... u need to change the whole motherboard

    get a new laptop

    Yes, unfortunately (as strange as it sounds) it will be the most cost effective. You could try to tinker with it, probably will be a lot more hastle then you want to afford. Next time, please not buy Dell, buy a Lenovo. They are built to last!

    As stated in a previous post contact Dell ASAP as you may be covered under the "extra" 1 year warranty to cover Nvidia GPU issues!!

    Yes, just call Dell XPS support, they extend the warranty for this specific issue. My graphic card died in December last year out of warranty, but they still fixed it. They might pretend there's no such thing and have you pay for it, but just tell them you know about the extended warranty, everything should go smoothly. :)
