Here is my list of issues with my 1340:
1) Upper left corner of screen is coming out - physically.
2) Wifi doesnt work when screen is too wide open (must be less than 90 degrees to work!)
3) Freezes every five minutes (I hope this post goes through!). Cursor gets stuck, thats it, no movement. Just freezes.
4) USB Port seems to fail - I run my mouse and then it just stops moving.
5) BSOD at least twice daily
6) Power cord plug is loose and not always working.
I am outside my 21 day but desparately trying to find someone that can process a return. This is easily my 10th+ Dell and definitely my last. My last XPS420 had issues and needed replacement as well. Sorry to hear that they have gone so downhill. Now I've been on hold for 25+ minutes after 6 transfers throughout India. When the next guy answers, I'm ordering some Chana Masala and sending this thing back to sender and disputing the charge. Shame on them for sendin out such a shoddy product.
Purposely putting in keywords so people will find this post in google:

Help!!

Oh and, they haven't come through on the $200 gift card for buying either. Thanks for the promotional offer !

Yours is broke, tough love. RMA it, unless you decided conveniently to wait too long. otherwise tough, it could happen to any laptop, seriously.

Brendanmurphy Your Worst Nightmare
You just got unlucky. Every company has there lemons. I have had horrible problems with toshiba. Never dell some the other way around. When you buy a computer its hit and miss if i were you id just get it exchanged if it comes back the same or worse The Lemon rule applies and they will have to refund you your money

Thanks for the advice, worm!
-
how did it take you over 21 days to decide it was bad?
-
Wasnt using it all the time to notice it kept freezing. This wasnt meant to be a primary machine.
-
dell xps lines are the worst of all, other than xps m1730, they break down so easily, cant even last 6 months w/o getting a major repair.
-
Ah, the wonders of Dell quality control, which I'm beginning to suspect is non-existent. I'll tried two M1330, both which were riddled with problems. Never buying Dell again.

You know, you can always fill out an Unresolved Issues Form here:
https://support.dell.com/support/to...outstanding_issues?c=us&l=en&s=gen&redirect=1
And, see what happens...calm down and take a deep breathe.
Even in the worst case scenarios..if you work at it, you can find something positive..and if you put your energy into completing that form ~ in a good way, who knows ~ you might get a positive response.
The way they are looking at it is that you are past your 21 days of return for a replacement or a refund. I'm not defending them, but if they take a look at your unresolved issue and what you went thru ~ it might work out.
Oh, and the Gift Card...They will come thru on that..it takes 6-8 weeks to process..And, they will make you wait up until the 6-8 weeks. That happened with my 1530.

You had 21 days to return it, should have taken advantage of that.
-
You know, regardless of 21 days or not, you'd think that they would want to fix something that is so clearly defective. I refuse to believe that they want a customer to be stuck with this.

That sounds like a lot of problems!
In all seriousness, you got a defective unit - should have got that thing replaced right away. A note to other buyers, you're paying a lot of money for a new system, do a full inspection in the first week you have it, if it's not perfect, send it back, it's just business. -

I loved the one I got at Best Buy, just worked like poop with Windows 7 (drivers) and wasn't quite big enough. Just ordered a 16 though BB and a P9500, should be set for a long time. Anyone got any dis-assembly instructions for the 16 yet?

My own M133O (purchased brand-new) has been going strong for well over a year now and has not been serviced by a technician in any way. A client's set of a few M133Os have also been working flawlessly for about a year. All the machines have the nVidia 8400m GS and are used as primary all-day machines.
I guess you know better, though. -

What did you expect with a name like NoMoreDell?
-
yeah... its worse than the apple forum in here

I am waiting for my BOX to arrive so I can send it to the depot... Oy. Oh, and since then I've noticed the USB port is loose. Which is why my mouse doesn't always work...
