    Hi guys,
I bought more than a year ago the Dell XPS 15 (9530) that comes with a 1TB HD and a 32 GB mSATA drive. So after working it without any issues I would like to have a more performant hard drive, because I feel like the HD is slowing down in general the overall system. Anyway long story short, if I substituted the 1 TB mechanical drive with a 512 GB SSD would I be able to install Windows from the recovery USB pen I made with the DELL suite?
Also does anyone know the dimensions of the HDD, I don't want to buy an SSD that doesn't fit. I think it's 2.5", but what about the thickness?

Also I would like if anyone could tell me from personal experience if it's a good idea to use just an SSD for operating system, programs and data. I see people recommend to avoid this kind of practice but many laptops nowadays comes with an only solid state memory solution, so I wonder :)

(Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native speaker, thank you for your understanding ;) Peace)
