I just ordered my new SB XPS 15 and was wondering if there any reliable 3rd party sellers for batteries and AC cords? Or do people generally stray from them due to QC issues? Any help is appreciated!

I've been looking for a cheaper aftermarket 6 cell to keep when I'm out and run out of the factory 6 cell, but so far, no one can guarantee that their batteries will work. Not only that, but their specs are lower than dells batteries, which will yield less battery life than the 6 cell. And they are still $100, which makes me think I would be better off buying another from dell.

I'm seriously considering the Energizer XP18000, though it's external.
Any observations on using that with the L502X?

Never even heard of that. Thanks for the idea! I'm going to look into it a little more before I buy it, but it would be ideal for trips and such, so you can also charge your phone at the same time.

Hm, interesting. I know that for my Canon SLR there is a pretty reputable 3rd party battery reseller (sterlingtek). I was hoping there was something similar for laptop batteries instead of just google searching for one.

Buy OEM for a reputable seller on Ebay or from Dell.
