    Hey,

I want to upgrade my wireless card from

    Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1000

Can someone tell me which card I should get?

Looking to get a card that has high range and has no connection loss or anything.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

I had pretty much decided on doing this too, and was going to go with the Intel 6300. It seems to get the best reviews and supposedly has the longest range/highest speed. It uses 3 antennas though instead of two, supposedly the XPS 15 is only equipped with two. I see that a 3rd antenna can be purchased, i'm just waiting to figure out exactly what to do with the 3rd antenna..no way would I want to try routing it up into the lid with the other two. Not sure if it does much left coiled in the bottom compartment...and I can't seem to find any info on that detail specifically.

One thing is for sure, the 1000 stinks.

Intel 6230, which also has Bluetooth, works well for me.

Excellent, thanks for this post. It definitely clears it up some for me...think i'm going to go with the 6300 with just the 2 antennas and see what happens.

fyi, my l502x had 3 antennas installed. so no harm having a look for yourself. it's quite obvious.

6300 will work with 2 x antenna. I haven't had issues with my 6205 in my X220 Tablet nor my 6300 in my M17xR2.
