Hey everyone! So I recently got a refurbished Dell XPS 15 9560 laptop, running windows 10, and I absolutely love it-- with the glaring exception of the touchpad, which I absolutely loathe. It's overly sensitive and a bit jumpy and it clicks on things constantly without me intending to. Sadly, it's not practical for me to use an external mouse with it due to my setup, so I am hoping there is a way to fix the drivers of the touchpad. I've done everything I could to change the settings provided, but it's not working well.
I'm coming from a very old Sager laptop, of which I loved the touchpad on. I could use one finger to scroll, and it had individual buttons. One huge complaint of mine with the Dell Touchpad is the fact that the active 'mouse' area includes the button area on the bottom of the touchpad, and when I go to click something, it occasionally registers the movement and the cursor moves away from what I want. Also, I really miss single-finger scrolling, I'm not a huge fan of the Windows Precision Touchpad crap. I just want to scroll and click.
I know that there used to be Synaptics Drivers that would allow you to set the size of the active mouse, but I can't find any of those, and I'm not even sure if they are compatible. And the Synaptics website doesn't seem to even have drivers up anymore. The drivers page is completely empty save for the news.
Are there any drivers or fixes for this? Links would be a wonderful help!
