    Hey All,

I got a dell xps 15 few weeks back. It came with inferior WLED screen. I want to change it to 1080p B+RGLED. Is this upgrade possible? under warranty can I upgrade my screen buy spending extra bucks. I dont mind to spend a few more and get it upgraded, But I really want to change it. Is it possible?

Its possible for sure, but the screen is not meant to be user replaceable, so if you do it, the warranty may go bust.
The quality of the FHD screen is however awesome, it has a contrast of 600:1 and brightness, that you need sunglasses on max setting.

Hey rohitrmehta, I am having the same kind of desire. I would like to upgrade my screen to 1080p. Have you been successful? What's your situation up to now?

    Thanks.

If you fancy doing it yourself see here.

My L502x came originally with the 720p, I upgraded my screen to the 1080 Matte.

The warranty won't go bust unless you break something, but you're going to have a hard time finding and ordering the B+RGLED screen. There are tons of other compatible 1080p screens out there though, both matte and glossy.

You will need to buy a FHD LCD cable and buy a replacement screen

Sorry for digging up an old thread.

I got myself a L502x with the normal display which I'm already regretting comming from a 17" FHD screen..

I'm thinking of upgrading the LCD to a FHD myself and I was wondering if the cable issue is the same for the L502x as the manual posted above is regarding the L501x

Also, any idea where I can get the cable should it still be required ? :) ( preferably in Europe :))

If essie nail polish was like a sport, I would consider this the completion of a nail polish hat-trick! Liberty is absolutely GORGEOUS. You all know how much I love seafoam greens.
A baby shower invitation Diaper Cake is a great idea for a baby shower gift. It can double as the table centerpiece if you are the one giving the shower.

I'm not sure how that replies to any question in this thread..
I looked through the thread with the replacement instructions and seems both the 501 and 502 have the same cable problem.. guess i'll go hunt for a FHD cable then :)
