    Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy a new laptop at the moment, and I'm hesitating between two models:

The Dell Inspiron 15R which comes at 799 euros in my area:
    _Intel Core i5 560M (2.53GHz/3MB cache)
    _4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333Mhz
    _1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD5650
_Silver Anodized Aluminum 15.6" HD (720p) WLED Display
    _500 Go SATA (5400 rpm)

and the Dell XPS 15 at 849 euros:
    _Intel Core i7 740QM (1.73GHz/6MB cache)
    _4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333Mhz
    _2048 (MB) NVIDIA GT435M GeForce
_Silver Anodized Aluminum 15.6" HD (720p) WLED Display
    _500 ATA hard drive (7200RPM)

My primary use would be just net browsing, watching films, doing some photoshop, but I'd also like to be able to play recent games like Assassin's Creed 2 for instance. I would also like to have a decent battery life, and I'm afraid the XPS is a bit short on this matter. So what do you think I should go for?

Photoshop? I think you should go with the XPS 15 and the FHD screen so you have some room to work.

Inspirion。。。5650 is enough to play assassin's creed 2..but the JBL on XPS is really awesome s if u like watching movies XPS is a better choice...finally dont worry about the battery life cuz when u watch movie or net browsing GT435M will be swithced off.

If you are talking about Optimus, then you will need to get the i5 and 420. Core i7-740's cannot utilise Optimus.
