I would suggest one of these docking solutions instead: http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/SLN301075?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04. Thay are designed to use the Thunderbolt port of the XPS 15 and will provide much better bandwidth than anything a USB dock could provide. I would just confirm with Dell whether you'll be able to hook 3 monitors directly to the dock or not, it's possible to get 3 monitors working with Dell cocks usually, but sometimes there's a bit of fiddling that might have to get done.

    Tx for the recommendation.

The Dell Thunderbolt™ Dock – TB15 with 240W Adapter is able to drive 3 x 2560x1440 monitors with DP 1.2 but looking at the comments it is still full of bugs. See here http://reviews.dell.com/profiles/2341/8591dede-a700-4021-9bf2-47098b5fcc36/profile.htm So in general this is exactly what I need but considering the bugs I will probably wait for a while before buying it. I currently have 3 x 1920*1200 Dell displays - all with DP or HDMI so I don't mind how the connection will be done from the TB15 (one DP cable or 3 separate connections - I would prefer one DP - less clutter...)

What I am wondering is if it will work like a PC meaning if I set a certain program to open on monitor #3 - will it always open on monitor #3 or each time I have to move it there manually?
