Hey so I just bought a Dell XPS 15 laptop for college this coming fall and I upgraded a lot of the specs to make it a very efficient machine.
-2nd generation Intel Core i7-2630QM processor 2.00 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 2.90 GHz
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M 1GB graphics with Optimus
-LED Screen
-and the 9 Cell Battery to increase battery life
(to name a few)
With these upgrades I realize that my laptop will be getting pretty hot and I want to maximize it's life with a cooling pad.
But the 9 cell raises the laptop up and makes me wonder if just any old cooling pad would be inefficient at cooling the computer off.

Do any of you guys know of a cooling pad that will work well with the XPS 15 and it's 9 cell battery?

The fact that the 9-Cell raises the computer up actually improves cooling efficiency. It allows air to more easily flow into vents underneath the laptop, and if you're using it on your lap you may not even need the cooling pad depending on how hot it gets.
If you got the 720p pray and hope it's the LG panel. Dell seems to randomly either give you an okay screen or really really bad screen for the 720p, and it seems like it's usually the bad one unfortunately. 1080p screen is amazing though.
