    HOw do you keep this part of your laptop scratch free? IT's impossible and it's also very very annoying.

    Seems like it is impossible. I had that piece replaced about 6 months ago because it got bent down by the hinge and it is really scratched up already. The screen bezel rubs on it. Poor design.

    Never had a scratch on mine. You can place a clear protector like for pda's.
