    Hi guys,

In the meanwhile I tried a few other things.

    - removed the CMOS battery for a night
    - the same for the battery
    - I als had the battery complete discharge
    - key combinations of every type :)

result now when trying the procedure is the same, no actually worse as it seems it won't recharge anymore.
I never wants to boot with the "end" key, actually with no key combinatio at all.

I'm checking prices for repair of the BIOS chip. :(

If anyone has another option for me, certainly welcome.

    Tx

Have you tried Fn+Right Arrow? (which is the end key)

    Might work. Good luck.

    Hello there,

have you successfully restored your BIOS? I did the exact same thing as you, I flashed the wrong BIOS, so now, bricked.

    Did you manage to restore?

if stoffg still cant recover the laptop, last solution would be externally reprogram the BIOS chip.

I dont know about the bios location chip at the 15z, however, jkbuha will probably know it, since I think he already had unlocked descriptor.

he also should be able to backup the whole BIOS chip from FPT software.

ask him for the full size chip backup and bios location, the full chip dump should be a 4MB file, then make LPT programmer like I did on the L502X topic, or buy a cheap one, if you use the LPT programmer, you have the software and instructions at the L502X, by doing that, probably you should be able to recover your laptop.

this method worked for many other laptops, it isnt easy, but it works for almost all cases.

    oh, and yeah, flashing a L502X BIOS on a 15z wasnt a good idea ... ^^

Well, I solved it by replacing the MoBo with a new one from Aliexpress... BIOS replacement didn't work for me.

Now I fully resurrected it! :D

It cost me only €136,41, including shipping costs, not bad at all for my budget, considering I live in Greece and Dell asked me for €450... seriously, Dell???

In any case, I'm so happy!!

Unlocked BIOS with correct one below:
