    Hi All,

Does all XPS 15z owners are facing the wireless card connectivity issues?. I heard the XPS 15z models has issue in WI-FI connectivity(very slow trasnfer rates, range is so poor, frequent connection drops). Waiting for owners inputs.

    Thanks

It depends on the wireless card chosen, I think it is mainly the basic 1000n card or the 6230 card where bluetooth clashes as they use the same frequencies...

What wireless card module did you use?
BTW, when it is slow? When running on High Performance?
Intel Wireless has low power mode function which reduce its performance, which can be a factor.

The issue lies with the wireless card, not the system. People have the same issue across ALL XPS laptops. The problem is only bad when running on 2.4GHz band with active Bluetooth use to my knowledge. My 6230 works fine, but I haven't used the Bluetooth yet. I also use it on 5GHz band at home.

No, I have an XPS 17...but the issue with the WIRELESS covers ALL XPS models from this generation.

    XPS 15
    XPS 15z
    XPS 17

All those have occasional interference between the Bluetooth and the 2.4GHz wireless, as I mentioned before.

If you want impressions on the 15z, there is a thread in this forum called the Owner's Lounge for the 15z. Or something like that. The consensus seems to be the trim is crap and tends to fall off fast as it is glued on.
