Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me i have a Dell XPS 1640 and it throttles all the time and i wanted to get a replacement, but i am out of warranty does anyone know what i have to do.
I just tried to talk to a representative and they told me i was out of warranty and it would cost me $59 for 1 time troubleshooting and if i wanted replacement parts to contact Out of warranty department. But, i wasn't sure what to do as i have read that many people have throttling issues and received replacements but i don't know how they did it.
If anyone can give me advice to what i should do, anything would help. Should i extend my warranty?![]()

If Dell let's you extend your warranty after your warranty has expired, take it.
You can't blame dell if your system breaks down after your warranty has expired. -
