    Hi Everyone

I'm new to this site so please bear with me if this has already been covered / exhausted.

I have a XPX1730 which was (as all) preloaded with Windows Vista, I found that I really could not get on with Vista and wanted to revert to XP.
So Bought a fully licensed version of XP with a pre-instalation disc for SP2 etc and followed all the web instructions on creating a drive partition and installing XP to this then setting up the 'Multiboot' mode etc etc.

Great I thought a great laptop (even if weighs a tonne) with an operating system I'm at ease with.

However since this Multiboot was set up I sometimes (maybe 1 in 10 times)get the laptop booting up and all seems well but then it goes to a Grey blank screen and moves no further (or I cannot see what it is doing as the hard drive is still doing its bit ?) the ONLY way I have found o clear this is to power it off and restart and then its OK usually (unless it does another 1 in 10). Also sometimes when I'm working away on documents or emails or surfing the screen just goes blank but this time with a Pink hue, again the only way to clear it is to power down ??

To me this seems like a video board on the way out or something ? has anyone else experienced this ? the Multiboot and XP may have no relation tot his but thought I'd put in all the facts. IT may have happened with Vista also but IO so much disliked this programme that maybe I never used it long enough for it to go into either of these blank screen faults ?

Any advice would be very welcome, I'm presently overseas so +6 hrs GMT so any replies from me may be at strange times :)

    Thanks

    Peter M
