    There seems to be confusion, and all sorts of stories about getting the XPS Accessories with the new XPS series. So, I've created a poll to try to see if getting the accessories or not depends on where your order.

    the laptop ships with sleeve, so u are pretty much guaranteed
    the travel remote is listed in my invoice, got that

    the CD case, earbuds and cleaning cloth didnt come..... after some complaining, dell csr sent me those three items, but the earbuds werent Creative (im not complaining further.... too much trouble)

    [the part number A1311018 is Harman earphones, not Creative, though he said Creative.... probably out or something.... Creative=more expensive, but not going to pursue it further]

    For my m1530, In Canada. It arrived yesterday and it came with the case for the laptop and the remote. It did not come with any headphones or the leather CD case or the cleaning cloth. Only the remote was listed on the invoice.

    I hate dell.. They are giving me the run around on getting the xps cd case, cloth and headphones.. Why didnt they put a item number on the invoice..

    It might be different where you are, but maybe it's because they're not openly advertised or configurable options during purchase? They're extras, novelties, stuff you didn't actually pay for but they throw in if they have stock/can be bothered. :rolleyes:

    If it comes with the accessories you get a nice little bonus, if not, who the hell cares? You didn't pay for them in the first place.

    The most I expect is the sleeve and remote. Anything else is gravy. :)

    but if u really want XPS branded items, u'r out of luck

    dell's probably out of stock(or no longer making) the XPS branded cloth and cd case... heres what i got (i just received the shipment today)

    i been trying with dell csr.. But because its not on the packing slip, im getting the o well speech from them. Im getting the, "that was a different promotion, and it doesnt matter you can compare orders". Im going to try with the customer service chat, and then im giving up if that doesnt work. I know most the stuff is crap, but its the point i bought a brandnew system. the majority of people got that free crap. I want my free crap too!

    i got the headphones, remote and slip case from Dell UK when i order my 1330 a month or so ago. I didnt get either the cd case or cloth, i'm not bothered though ;)

    I just check my email conformation from dell which stated all the specs and it did not state anything about headphones, cloth etc. Does that mean i wont get it?

    I called Dell the other day about not receiving my accessories. The CSR was pretty generous and said that it was out of production. He decided to give me a $75 coupon that i used to get :

    External Speaker
    Bluetooth Mouse
    Same earplugs (creative noise reduction)

    So i guess i'll go without the cloth and the case =]

    here's my experience.... I got the case and the remote, but not the headphones/leather thing. I was confused by this but I have a feeling it was because I ordered from dell UK business, not Home. Any comments on this anyone? Oh, and no microfiber cloth. I was annoyed by that- the touch sensitive buttons black strip is a dust magnet...
    I'm not that bothered- i have one hell of a sound system so headphones are no worry, and who cares about a fake leather thing? i just use the small white box the accessories came in.

    I got mine from the outlet store at the end of May. All I got was the Remote and cleaning cloth.

    Tried on a couple of occasions to call cust service and was promised the missing case, CD Case and earphones would be sent out and someone would call to confirm but each time the call never came. I eventually gave up trying.

    I got all the accesories with mine, it's from UK. Though I live in Estonia.

    Got Dell bag, Dell CD/book bag, cleaning cloth, in-ear earphones and remote control.

    I don't think this poll is accurate. I'm pretty sure amost everyone got the remote/bag, so we shouldn't count those as the accessories. The accessories should be the CD Case, Cloth, Earbuds.

    well I didn't receive the leather case, earbuds or cleaning cloth- but I did call dell and they shipped me 2 sets of other earbuds, and gave me a $100 coupon as of yesterday ( :) ) -they bumped it up from $75 for responding a little late to an email also. Pretty damn impressive all for freebies.

    My order didn't list the items either, but I did express to them that I was promised these items from a sales rep, which I was. And they offered to send me the headphones - or get a 100 dollar gift card.


    Oh, and being nice doesn't hurt.

    And No actually, not all brand new orders "get" them. If they are in stock and happen to be placed in the order you receive them. But ALL new orders are entitled to them. :)

    I got my xps 1530 today.just the sleeve and the remote. nothing else in there. I ordered mine online. Can I call them and say my friend got those accessories but I did not or Can i say i was promised by a CSR even though my order was online?

    Got my XPS M1530 on June 17, 2008 (ordered on June 7, 2008 from Dell Home US).

    Included with it was:
    -Creative EP-630s with little carrying pouch
    -Leather XPS CD and Manual case
    -Cloth Dell XPS Black/Silver laptop case
    -1 Dell Remote Control (some people get 2 remotes apparently)
    -XPS Cleaning cloth

    Yeah, that would be a lot of help. I only got a sleeve and a remote with mine (no cloth, no headphones). I want to ring em up and try to get them, but I don't know if they're going to ask me for my order #, then say that I wasn't going to get it anyway. Oh well, I guess I can call them for practice ;)

    i got a $50 gift card by calling. i simply said i was under the impression my laptop would come with these accessories when i ordered.. and she hooked it up. no arguing or lying needed.. =)

    I didnt get the cleaning cloth, cd case, or earbuds, i called the day i got my xps but they were like we can sell u a case for 20$ so i gave up. Now im gona email support. Btw what were the item numbers for those accessories?

    a day before i ordered mine with the sales rep, i talked to the same sales rep and asked her about it. she said they are standard. she compared those freebies to how you get a free mousepad and things like that when you order a new desktop (the mousepad doesn't show up on your invoice). i asked her right before i placed my order the next day if i can call her if i dont get the freebies, and she said yes. she also put me on hold and checked with other sales reps and they said yeah they're standard.

    if you don't get them, just keep trying. i haven't gotten my laptop yet..but generally dell customer service is great. when i called a few days ago to ask why i couldn't check my order status, the rep told me that because my estimated date of delivery was far away (aug 20) she wud put my order on priority build. (the date is so far away because i wnated the 9-cell battery and it had delays etc.).

    I never did get an invoice, I tried to request one from Dell for like a week, but they never sent me one lol, then I gave up. So sorry, I don't know what the part numbers are or anything for the extras. But you should have gotten them. I'd call up and complain.

    just called the dell CSR n told them i was expecting the 4 items (cd case, leather binder, earbuds-creative and cleaning cloth).he took the order number,did not ask for the item numbers. initially told me i could get $25 coupon since all those items are worth that much only and are not in stock right now.....i told him that creative earbuds itself is costlier than $25.....finally agreed for a $50 coupon.........so u can try if u want but i dont think they will offer 75 or 100$ coupons for those items.....
