I have a Dell XPS 501X without the backlit keyboard. However, I have purchased one for it. Does anybody have any instructions on how to swap them over?

Same methods as for the L502x:

    Documentation

    In summary:

    Remove battery

Undo single screw underneath (not the four in a row)

    Push tabs out

Carefully prise the palm rest from the clips (this will take patience, as it requires strategic force, but not too much force otherwise it may break one of the dozen or so clips. A credit card will help get it off)

Remove keyboard from tabs holding it in and data strips
