Hey guys, for those of you who have recieved replacement laptops, I have a few days left in my initial 21 day period and I just had a few questions:

Does Dell send you the replacement laptop first so you won't be without a laptop?
Does Dell pay for the shipping?
Does the replacement laptop have a new 21 day policy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    1) Yes(just make sure you ship it right after you receive the new one. Ask for a shipping label free of charge)
    2) Yes
    3) Im not too sure what you mean but if the laptop is defective in 21 days they have to resend you another replacement instead of sending a tech, if thats what you mean yes.

    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. No. Your stuck with the replacement computer. You only get the initial 21 days for a return. The replacement computer does NOT have another 21 day return policy. You only have your warranty after the first 21 days. I went through this experience with my defective XPS 15. A Dell Technician was unable to repair my laptop and I was offered a replacement machine. The replacement was not due in until after the inital 21 days. Dell admitted thier policy to me after over an hour on the phone with them. If your going to return the machine within the 21 days you need to get a Return Authorization from Dell first! They refunded me the enire cost. I was not charged shipping.

Funny thing, Dell only gives you a 21 day return policy but they allow themselfs 30 days to return your money.

Thanks for the help N3CAL. In that case, i'm opting for the return. I only have a couple days left of my 21 days, and I don't want to play the game of chance. What does this Return Authorization entail? Just wondering, what was wrong with your XPS 15?
