    Hi there,

this week i received my NEW Dell laptop because i had a Toshiba with many problems. I decide to pay 680 euro for something good, but im getting new problems...

Fan comes on for a second then turns off for a second, then repeats. When the fan is going on then im getting freezing/laggy/ sound and mouse cursor SOMETIMES!!! I get this issue when just doing light stuff like watching youtube videos or online tv. My temps are 55-60C.

    Intel i5 2430M, Nvidia GT540M 2GB, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB

    Bios ver. A07

    Windows HOME 64x

    Drivers are up to date!

    Regards!

Did you update with beta drivers from NVIDIA site? Some L702x owners complained of screen flashing after they updated with those drivers.

I'm using the Dell drivers and I have no flashing.

Though, coupled with your other symptoms there could be some other cause.

Im using original Dell drivers. The Notebook was already ready when i received them. The same problem is when i open Aida64 at "Sensors". Every 5-6 secs im getting laggy.
Should i try the new bios A09 or with the beta drivers from nvidia? Suggestions?

If the fan is running and the machine is laggy, it's possible something is running and getting most of the CPU. Try opening Task Manager to the Processes tab, showing processes from all users, and sorting by the CPU column so the CPU hogs are at the top. Keep it open and see how much CPU is being used during the laggy times.

    Hi,

If you are running any type of program that monitors the GPU and/or fan, see if turning them off makes any difference. I would also update the BIOS to A09 and to the latest Nvidia Beta Drivers. Your temperatures are normal for idle.

    Cheers.

I solved this problem way back by completely uninstalling the Dell graphics driver altogether, rebooting, then installing the latest Nvidia driver. I only installed the bare driver and Nvidia update, none of the HD audio or 3d graphics components. My fan doesn't cycle on and off every second anymore.

I don't think you would be able to. Well, you could try to reinstall without the 3d driver then add the 3d driver later on by running the installer again

I uninstalled Intel and Nvidia drivers, used the driversweeper under safe mode, updated bios to A09, have installed last Intel drivers from Dell Support-Page and Nvidia 285.62 but the problem is still there
