I bought the laptop 3 years ago (the warranty was expired). After receiving the laptop, a few months after, the eject button stopped working. I had to right click the CD/DVD drive icon in Windows and choose "Eject". At that time, I thought the problem was not a big issue. I don't often use my laptop.
The problem started a month ago, I got a blue screen of death in Windows 7...Dec 30th, I decided to upgrade to Windows 8.1. I have gone to the Dell support page to update all my drivers (including the BIOS). However, the eject button is still not working.
Dec 31st, I had a black screen in Windows 8.1. The Error message was:
Windows Boot Manager : File: \Boot\Bcd
Status: 0xc00000e9 Info: An unexpected i/o error has occured. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.
The problem is now worst. When I turn my laptop on, there is a black window and it keeps trying to access to the CD/DVD drive. Unfortunately, I can't get to the Bios in order to change the setting.
    Please I need your support.

hmm BCD is like your boot file is corrupted, try to repair with window dvd. And for blue screen cheek your RAM. Remove one RAM or component once at the time so it will easy to detect the issue.

Thanks Nightmare. However, I don't know how to access to the Boot Menu. I have tried all keys. When I turn the computer on, I get a black screen and the dvd driver keeps trying to eject.
I just pulled the dvd driver. When I turn it on, only the fan works. I still can't get the bios menu.
