I love this laptop, have had it almost two years and have an extended warranty. But all of a sudden, I started getting errors that the unit was overheating and then was notified that the battery was being disabled. I turned it off and let it cool, but now it won't work on battery at all. It only works when I plug the laptop into a wall socket.

I thought maybe I needed to replace the battery (not covered by the warranty, which I expected), but when I contacted Dell Support, I was informed that the battery is no longer available. Seriously? I bought it less than two years ago.... Could something else be wrong with the unit? If it's not the battery itself, maybe there's something else I can do?

Please help! School starts in three weeks!
