Ok, I have tried absolutely everything!
My warranty ran out and my laptop just stopped turning on one day.
I press the on button and it lights up blue for about 3 seconds and then turns off. I need a definite if it's the motherboard or if it's the sensor not getting to the mother board to tell it to turn on.

I had the same symptoms and it was the motherboard that needed to be replaced.
