so I have a nice dell xps m1330. its full loaded and costs $1600. Now dell has replaced the keyboard, the palm rest, the lcd, and changed the clor from black to white. I spoke with dell yesterday through there escalation team. Because of the problem I had with my Dell they are replaceing the standard LCD with the slim and light led lcd display. My question is what is the difference between the two displays and is it thinner then the standard display. is there any video of the displays side by side. etc...

The LED backlit display is far superior. It is thinner than the regular LCD, its whites are whiter, colors are more vibrant, and it consumes less power than the regular LCD. The m1330 certainly looks more future-ready with the LED display as opposed to the thicker LCD.
