Okay, until only recently I have been trying to tweak my computer and vista to get the best performance out of it.
I pick up 3dMarkVantage, I install it and run a few tests, I am unable to get any results due to this error, if possible can anyone help?

Also, when running tests with 3dMark Vantage, with the settings set on "Entry" i am receiving as low as 5FPS with a maximum of around 2x FPS. Is this average for a Dell XPS M1530.
If not, can you please help me diagnose the problem.

    My Specs:
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9300 @ 2.50GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
    4GB Ram
    320GB HDD 5400RPM

It has nothing to do with the laptop and everything to do with how/what you have installed on it. This is not Dell's fault.

Consider formatting and installing the OS from scratch without bloatware. Make sure to install the most recent nvidia drivers available. Also consider getting them from laptopvideo2go.com

I just reinstalled from SCRATCH one day ago.
I have 260GB of free space, and I am running version driver 174.31.
According to the votes, it'd seem like the best choice.
