The headphone jack emits a buzzing noise when I have it connected to my Logitech speakers. It only makes the annoying sound when the AC Adapter is plugged into it. Is there any quick fixes for this problem????

I just had a technician replaced my motherboard today for a "new" one and no luck it still does it.

Hi there! The buzzing noise with the 1530's has been a known prob' for a while... :( I was lucky and didn't have that prob' with my 1530.

You should call back Dell and have them continue to look at the prob' you are having for a fix, since you are having no resolve! ;)

Here is a thread for you to check out:

    Hope that helps... :D

I had a prob like that when I connected a cassette player to my 1530 to transfer tapes to mp3. I had an old 90-watt three-prong power supply from a D600 docking station, and using it the buzzing went away. Seems that the 1530s have an issue with ground loops. The 3 prong PS seems to give a good shunt to ground.

I'm going to give Dell tech support a ring again and have them send me another power supply if no alternative fixes work. A Dell technician thought it was a motherboard/power supply issue but he was mistaken. Its still doing it... :(

Thanks for the link on the thread Cin'. :)

I think that's a good idea calling back Tech Support! They shouldn't have a problem sending you a new power supply. I hope that you have a solution to the buzzing sound soon...I know that can be annoying!

Good luck, and keep us posted! :D
