w/o warranty its hard to say. i would open up the bottom cover and have a look on the inside to see what the problem is. dust is usually one source of overheating so maybe vacuum / clean out the vents.
for me, one major problem was that the heat sink wasn't fully touching the GPU , thus causing it to overheat. and actually, one of the posts holding down the heatsink broke off from the motherboard so i had to superglue that post back to the motherboard. -

Dell did extend the M1530 warranty with the Nvidia chips by 1 year, I don't know if it is too late to get on that boat.
The problem isn't the overheating. TSMC used cheapo substrate material in the GPU die, and with constant heating and cooling eventually causes the solder joints to fail resulting in loss of video/artifacts. All laptops with the G84M/G86M chip soldered onto the motherboard will experience this one way or another. -
So what should I do I heard they are giving new XPS laptops like the new ones in the range how would I get that I am sick of this M1530 doing this.

i think theyre only giving "system replacements" to those with warranty.
check the dell site to see if ur warranty is really gone cuz like Tsunade said, Dell did extend the warranty of those laptops by a year.
otherwise i think ur kindof stuck -

If your laptop was still in warranty and has issues after multiple repairs, you could call Dell's customer support line and they can try to set you up with a new laptop but if yours is OOW, you are kinda up a creek..

Could I not say this is a fire hazard I am getting readings over 90oc. I am afraid the laptop will go up in fire and burn my house down, and I have to keep using the laptop for work ?

I had the same problem but still under warranty. however, couldn't get dell to give me a replacement laptop - just got the motherboard etc. replaced - although it was the third issue with my m1530 (but the first two problems were unrelated to the latest overheating issue).
Thus, I have no clue how people were able to convince dell to give a replacement laptop as I think replacing a broken GPU with another faulty by definition is not a solution or fix of the problem..... -
Well has long has I get it fixed I will be happy a brand new laptop would just be amazing though.

90C is very hot but I have seen 105C+ for the GPU.
But the point is you are out of warranty. Dell will tell you to buy a new laptop. Unfortunately there is no fix for it. The GPU are defective. There is no way around it. My 8600M GT in my Vostro 1500 hits 72C max but it is a removable module and it has a separate heatpipe and it gets cooled before the CPU. -
I'm in the same boat here too.
Planning on disassembling my M1530 tomorrow, giving the GPU a VERY light heat gun blast maybe even hair dryer as it's more gentle. Then repaste everything I can and see if there is any potential for replacement fans etc.
My GPU is at 80 Celsius on idle.
I know newer machines can take the heat, or at least certain components can but if there was a wire nearby and it reached over 100 it could do serious damage.
Unfortunately just because one component is rated at high temperature doesn't mean the rest are and in a 4 year old machine things were made differently
Regardless, hopefully I'll get chance to do that tomorrow and will post back my results.
