Hi. I've decided to purchase a Dell XPS M1530.

The config I choose is given below...

    - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7250
    - Genuine Windows Vista(R) Home Premium - with AERO experience
    - 15.4" Widescreen WXGA (1280x800) TFT Display with TrueLife
    - 2GB (2 X 1024MB) 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
    - Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio Software
    - 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) 8600M GT
    - 160GB SATA Hard Drive
    - Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Combination Drive with dual layer write capabilities
    - Dell(TM) Wireless 355 Bluetooth Module
    - Intel(R) 4965AGN Wireless-N Mini-Card
    - Tuxedo Black LCD display with Integrated 2.0 mega pixel web cam
    - 90W AC Adapter
    - 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
    - 1-year XPS Premier Service with 1-year CompleteCover

Thats pretty much what my budget supports.

Now my question is does XPS M1530 comes with the sleeve that comes with M1330. i liked it very much....

Second I would like you to suggest a bag. Which one to choose among the available options. And if possible please post your bag pics. That would help me a lot.

Any suggestion from you based on your personal experience is welcome... Specially from XPS owners from India.

Please help. I'm gonna book my XPS by 18th Jan.

    Thanks in advance.........

    Does come with a sleeve.

Obviously not the same one as the 1330, since its no good stuffing a 15" laptop into a 13" bag.

yes it come with one. I don't like it. I bought this one from Ebay.com
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Notebook-Sleeve...ryZ11170QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

also you should look on ebay for bag it's much cheaper. if you want to get one from dell. wait because they will send you a 15% coupon in a week or so. so you can use it to buy the bags that they offer for XPS ..
if you don't get this coupon . send me a private message I will send you the code.

I was interested in Belkin Messenger bag. It looks cool. But wanted to know how specious it is. I won't carry it around much.

My concern is its durability and capacity. Can anyone help me on this.

Just got mine.. It comes with the sleeve. I like it, but I'll need a regular bag to hold my accessories.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU MODIFY YOUR CONFIG.. GET THE 1440x900 SCREEN!!!

They were also offering a 1600 X 1050 screen.. it was there for a few days, then gone.

It's $50 to upgrade.. If you dont have the extra $50.. lower your hard drive size, or drop the soundblaster (it's just software.. hardware is the same) I cant stress this enough.. 1200X800 is the equivalent of 1024X768 in wide screen.. Whats the point of a big 15.4" screen to run at a low Res?

I ordered mine before the 1440X900 screen was offered.. it showed up on the website the day my laptop was to be delivered. I called dell, got an RMA and sent it back.. Ordered a new one with the 1440X900 screen.

The day that one was to be delivered, the 1600X1050 screen showed up.. I decided to keep this one... and it's a great machine. I've used just about every model of machine in dells lineup from laptops to servers... The x1330 and 1530 are my favorite. (I just wish they worked with a docking station)

I was thinking... Dont the magnets that hold the sleeve closed seem like a bad thing? Sliding my hard drive past those magnets each time I take it out of the sleeve just does not seem like a good idea... maybe it's just me.
