    Dear All,

I am writing to request clarification on the following.

In start>control panel>sound, I have two devices> Speakers/Headphones (Sigmatel High Definition Audio CODEC) and HDMI.. both are working.

When I go to properties and try to set some things like levels and enhancements, I have a small problem. Till yesterday I could see the "Bass Management" option in the "enhancements".. But today, NO, I cannot see it. Instead there is "Speaker Fill", "Room Correction" and "Loudness Equalization". Of these, the "Speaker Fill" is a new entry I am seeing, while till last night I could see "Bass Management" and another one which I dont remember exactly!!!

Now why is this sudden change in the available options? Or where have those two options gone? And where has this new "Speaker Fill" Thing come up from?

Is it possible to have that bass boost option again so that I can enable it? How do I do it?

Many thanks in advance for your help!!! Hope some expert here would be able to guide me through ASAP (we have planned for a party this evening for one our friends who has just graduated!!) :-(

    Thanks again people. Cheers.

Did you update your drivers since, or change anything else?

Are you sure you are looking at the same output device?
