    To All,

My 2009 laptop's monitor went white one day, so I took it to a "competent" pc store, and they told me the monitor was bad. No problem, I ordered a new one, replaced it, and have the same results. A white screen is all I see, so attaching the external monitor and safe booting, I've been able to back up all data and have backed up the C: and D: drive.
After spending $140 to replace the monitor based on the pc store's recommendation, I have the same results...only a white screen. So, engineering wise, if the motherboard is good, the monitor must be good, the video card is good, is the next step the inverter replacement?
I don't mind reinstalling the op system, but don't think that's the problem, may be though...have run every antivirus, spyware, malware and tuneup utility known to man, I'm hoping the $20 inverter replacement is the answer.

Any comments, advice, or experience with the same? Any answer TIA...
