    Some one has given me a free dell xps M1710 and the video card needs replacing can anyone give me examples of replacements with the cost too ?

    They're expensive. Stupidly so. The cheapest one (7900GS) is already more than $100. You might be able to use GPUs from the E1705/9400, but those aren't cheap either.

    well you can bake the card in the oven,i have just done mine look on you tube for instructions,you just need to take the laptop apart.it saved me 300 pounds plus!
